Belmont County Animal Rescue League hosts 5th Annual K-9 Classic 5K Walk/Run


The 5th annual Belmont County Animal Rescue League K-9 Classic 5K Walk Run, “Race for Man’s Best Friend” will take place Sat, Oct. 8, 2011, 10 a.m. On the National Road Bikeway in St. Clairsville.

All proceeds from the race will benefit the Belmont County Animal Shelter.

There will be t-shirts, pizza, fruit and snacks, baked goods, door prizes and 100 trophies for participants.

The 5K course is flat and scenic. The race begins and ends at the ball fields at the north end of the bikeway. Race day registration will be from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.

Trophies will be awarded to the overall winners in both male/female and walk/run groups. Trophies will also be awarded to the top three winners in each age group in both male/female and walk/run. Walk/run entry groups include: 0-16 male and female; 17-25 male and female; 26-34 male and female; 36-43 male and female; 44-52 male and female; 53-61 male and female; 62-70 male and female and 71 + male and female.
